Mindfulness Challenge 2019 in Kitchener / Waterloo
  
Sunshine Montessori School is delighted to be bringing Mindfulness Challenge 2019 to Kitchener / Waterloo! It's a great place to ride the wave of many people practising mindfulness together. The program will be live streamed from Toronto.

Schedule:
  • 11:30 Registration opens
  • 11:45 Settle into the hall
  • Noon Meditate-athon begins
  • 4:00 pm Meditate-athon ends
  • 4:15 pm End of program

Fundraising:
Mindfulness Challenge works like a walkathon or bikeathon - you participate in a challenge and ask people to sponsor you. In this case it's a 4-hour meditate-athon. We’ll provide you with the latest fundraising tools and ideas to make it easy to reach your fundraising goal. We ask that when you register, you set a fundraising goal of at least $100.

Mindful Snack
Mindfully eating a snack is part of the program, but we suggest you eat before the event. We will provide apples and Made-Good granola bars and squares that are free of dairy, eggs, gluten, and nuts.  If you like, please feel free to bring your own ready-to-eat, nut-free snack.
  • We invite you to practice kindness by choosing a snack that does not harm animals or the planet.
Please NO peanut butter or nuts at Sunshine Montessori School. 

What to Bring
  • Yoga mat - Please bring your own. We will have a few yoga mats and gym mats available.
  • Sitting Cushion / Chair - If you want a sitting cushion, we will have a few available, but please bring your own if you can. If you want to sit in a chair, we will provide one.
  • Water bottle
  • Comfortable clothing suitable for sitting or gentle yoga
  • Slippers (no shoes in the hall - we'll have plastic booties if you wish)
  • Blanket or sweater in case you get cold
  • Cash or cheques sponsors gave you
For those intending to bring a zabuton (thick mat for under the sitting cushion), please consider using your yoga mat instead - so you don't have to move the zabuton to the side for some activities. The sits won't be too long. However, if you need a zabuton to sit comfortably, that's no problem.

Cash & Cheque Donations
We will be able to accept donations, including any cash or cheques your sponsors gave you, and any top-up donations you wish to make. Please bring any cash or cheque donations to the event! For donors who want tax receipts, we'll need their address, postal code and email.

Please help us by entering your "offline" donations (cash or cheque) before you get here. Just login to the Participant Centre, click "Offline Pledges" (2nd from the right), and enter their info. You'll need their full name and address, including postal code, for them to get a tax receipt. You can use their email or your own.
